Class Information
Birthdays!
We love celebrating our birthdays! Please consider the following suggestions if you would like to recognize your child's birthday at school: donate a book to our classroom library, donate a game to our class in honor of your child's birthday, bring in a special treat for the class (goodie bags, pencils, any non-food item)
Reminder: Food is not permitted for birthday celebrations. |
Classroom Behavior Management
As part of our morning routine, your child will pick an item (connect 4, bubbles, play dough, blocks, etc.) that he/she will want to work towards throughout the school day. There will be 3 picture options displayed each day. These options will change daily. Students will earn a happy stick for "expected" behaviors throughout the school day: exhibiting a positive attitude; using "kind" words; following directions; task completion. At the end of the school day, students will count their happy sticks. Students will cash in their happy sticks for their desired reward. Students must earn a total of 8 happy sticks to earn their reward.

Folders & Assignment BooksYour child should return his or her homework folder and assignment book to school daily, as this is the primary method of home and school communication. Homework assignments, snack/cooking money, notes for Mrs. Montani or for the office, and other important documents will be transported in provided homework folders. Your child will write their daily homework in their assignment book. Please check the Life Skills Connection form that is stapled weekly into the the assignment book for upcoming events and important reminders.
